What is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
Similar to its predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a single-player RPG set in medieval Bohemia during the 15th century, now part of the Czech Republic. What sets it apart is its authentic combat mechanics, mirroring real historical techniques, and its realistic portrayal of medieval weaponry and armor interactions.
In Kingdom Come 2, the map will double in size compared to the original game. It will showcase Kuttenberg. Moreover, players can explore smaller settlements, towns, and faithfully recreated Bohemian landscapes, enriching the adventure.
The narrative of Kingdom Come draws direct inspiration from historical events, unfolding in 1403 after the kidnapping of King Wenceslas IV of Bohemia by his half-brother Sigismund. You step into the shoes of Henry, a blacksmith’s son from the silver mining village of Skalitz. The game begins with Skalitz under siege by Cuman mercenaries led by Sir Markvart von Aulitz, a supporter of Sigismund, with the aim to eliminate Sir Radzig Kobyla, a loyalist to Wenceslas IV. The devastating attack results in the loss of Henry’s loved ones, compelling him to join Radzig’s cause and embark on a quest for vengeance.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is anticipated to continue the storyline from where the first game ended. Radzig and his allies are rallying a resistance against Sigismund’s army, while Henry persists in his quest for vengeance against Markvart. Additionally, we can expect the return of Hans Capon, a nobleman who formed a close friendship with Henry throughout the main questline of the original game.
Kingdom Come Deliverance Release Date
The much-anticipated sequel, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, is set to launch in 2024. While we’re eager to go back into Henry’s world, the exact Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 release date is still under wraps. We’re unsure if it’ll arrive in the summer or fall.
